Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa Vs Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado
I will admit Tozawa and Itami make a great tag team but the problem with that is that the cruiserweight division doesn't have tag titles. Itami has been plagued by injuries since joining the WWE in 2014 so his focus is not on forming a bond or an alliance with Tozawa but getting another title shot while he's healthy. Hideo and Akira would pick up the pinfall win after Itami pinned Gran Metalik and Hideo would stand over Metalik and celebrate his victory. Lince Dorado would come to the defense of his injured tag partner and both he and Hideo would have to be separated. I think I see where this is going, Far East Vs South of the Border Maybe?
Gentleman Jack Gallagher Vs Murphy Myers
Gentleman Jack seems to have developed quite the aggressive demeanor since being criticize by 205 Live GM Drake Maverick. Wanting Gallagher to embrace his new found dark side the GM would have a ring side seat at commentary as Jack would decimate his opponent delivering that thunderous head-butt to his opponents jaw and picking up a pinfall win. After the match Gallagher would stare down Maverick as if asking him if he was happy now. Could Drake and Jack be preparing us all for a rivalry in the near future? Probably not but you can't help but wonder.
Cedric Alexander Vs Roderick Strong
My man Cedric Alexander has earned his spot at Wrestlemania! I give credit where credit is due and Roderick Strong has sold me on his in ring ability and I look forward to seeing what he brings to the table in the future. Alexander displayed his toughness and it ultimately lead to him picking up a pinfall win over Strong in the semi finals. After the match Strong would show great sportsmanship telling Alexander to GET IT DONE! Now that we have one competitor in the Cruiserweight Championship match at Mania, next will determine Alexander's opponent as Mustafa Ali battles Drew Gulak.
