Last night, 4 women from Raw and 4 women from SmackDown will climb a ladder in the middle of the ring to capture a briefcase which contains a contract that the winner can cash in for a title opportunity.
The women’s MITB match was very innovating I mean...talk about athleticism! From Naomi’s high flying to Ember moon cross body to banks on the ladder to Bliss’s impressive drop on Charlotte, these women definitely brought their A game!
The showdown I was excited to see was between Ember Moon and Naomi. They worked together briefly to take down Becky lynch successfully, but then they worked separately to take down each other. Naomi lit up Moon with her "Taebo" kicks but it was Moon who had one up on her, throwing her into the ladder spine 1st.
Lana was the underdog of this match and completely surprising. She has improved over the last few months, and is starting to prove that she will not be the next Eva Marie. She executed a perfect X factor onto the ladder in the ring on Ember Moon, drop kicked Naomi
and put Bliss in the Accolade submission.
In the end, it was Alexa Bliss who climbed the ladder triumphantly to retrieve the MITB briefcase and last night, she cashed in her MITB contract on Nia Jax to become Raw's Women's Champion.
